ABOUT BIRD

A couple of worn-out fashion retailers who wanted a change and to control their own brand. BIRD was born in the middle of the ever-changing Noosa Junction. A local precinct where you basically know everyone it isn’t big and flash but it’s warm, tight, and open like a good hug.

Because we’ve never done things in halves, we went looking for the best charcoal rotisserie we could find. We discovered a pure charcoal rotisserie all the way from Madrid that cooks in the traditional way, all 650 kg of her. She is beautiful and we call her Loretta. It sits in the middle of the shop and is the focus of many BBQ envy people.

We may be a little old fashioned, but we prefer a home-made fresh approach to our food. Our chickens (BIRD’s) are free range from Elgin Valley, the Ironbark charcoal locally sourced from up at Tin Can Bay and all our food is made on site from our Sourdough baguettes, daily salads, sandwiches, gravy rolls and soup.

We cook throughout the day and like to serve the BIRD’s straight off the rotisserie.

It’s quality and hard work and something we are proud of.

ABOUT OUR FREE RANGE CHARCOAL CHICKENS

Meet our well-traveled birds - they get a temperature check at 78°C before leaving the rotisserie ensuring they’re hot and ready for the flavour adventure! That pink hue? It’s the cool effect of iron bark charcoal smoking.

Quick tip: pop them in the fridge within 2 hours, and for a hot encore, reheat in the bag in the oven at 100°C for 15 minutes. Get ready for a bird-tastic delight!
